European hardware/software sales for October 2024
Not a bad month for Switch
The latest gaming sales data for Europe have come in, and it gives us a look at how things went down in October of 2024. Let’s kick things off with the top 10 software sales of the month. Please note that Nintendo titles mentioned in the top 10 do not include digital sales, while other titles do.
Along with the top ten, we also have some more insight into games in the top 10 as well as those that charted lower.
- Super Mario Party Jamboree sales for the first 3 weeks are 6% below Mario Party Superstars
- Sonic X Shadow Generations landed at No.16
- sales were double that of Sonic Superstars
- sales were down 42% over Sonic Frontiers
Finally, we also have some info on how hardware sales went for the month:
- 422,000 units of hardware were sold, down 26% from the same 5 week period in 2023
- PS5 was #1, down 29% year on year
- Switch was #2, down 10% year on year
- Xbox was #3, down 49% year on year
