Modder crams WarioWare's Ashley into Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

I am not a modder, so I don’t know how their minds work. From the outside looking in, sometimes its seems like modders completely skip over questions as to why they might do something and instead just do it. For example, we don’t know what made modder Behon think about cramming the WarioWare and Legend of Zelda franchises together, but that’s exactly what they’ve done.

The recently-released Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has been the target of Behon’s mod, and this one takes a much-loved character from WarioWare and transports her to Hyrule. Poor Zelda only had a few weeks where she got to play the starring role in a Zelda game, but now she’s been swapped out for WarioWare’s Ashley.

As far as we know, this mod is purely a cosmetic change. That said, the character swap does make some sense thematically. With Ashley being a witch, seeing her conjure up monsters and items through the Tri-Rod is quite fitting. We’re positive Nintendo won’t care for the change, but there’s no doubt some fans of both franchises will get a kick out of the idea.
