Fortnite Remix: The Finale sets new concurrent player record for a live concert
Music to Epic's ears
Chapter 6: Season 1 of Fortnite went live yesterday, which means it’s a completely new island for players to explore. Right before that happened though, Epic ran Fortnite Remix: The Finale, and it turns out that event was one of the biggest for Fortnite yet.
Epic has revealed that Fortnite Remix: The Finale has set a new record for the battle royale, bringing in a whopping 14.3 million players. That’s good enough to take the #1 spot for concurrent player total in terms of a live concert in-game, with the previous record sitting at 12.3 million players for the Travis Scott concert. That took place during the pandemic, making this new record even more impressive.
As far as Fortnite goes overall, the only other event bringing in a higher concurrent player total was the Marvel season finale featuring Galactus, which wooed a whopping 15.3 million people to the in-game action.
